Peugeot Sport chooses team Oreca Matmut
After taking time to consult the various teams which expressed an interest in running a Peugeot 908 HDi FAP in 2010, Peugeot Sport has finally decided to provide Team ORECA MATMUT with a car. The motor sport record of the Hugues de Chaunac-directed operation provides clear evidence of the team's skill and professionalism, while the team has provided assurances of its ability to source the necessary funding to enter a 2010-specification 908 HDi FAP in the Le Mans 24 Hours and in the Le Mans Series.


"ORECA and its director Hugues De Chaunac have a proven winning record in several motor sport disciplines over the years," says Peugeot Sport Director Olivier Quesnel. "We have consequently chosen this team which we believe is the best qualified to defend Peugeot's colours. Team ORECA MATMUT will run a 908 HDi FAP in the 2010 Le Mans Series, as well as in the 2010 Le Mans 24 Hours where its support will be invaluable. I am convinced that our collaboration will be a fruitful one, and that there is every chance it can be extended in the future with the supply of Peugeot engines in 2011."
